Overall while the whole game could be played without story and it wouldn't impact at all there is no point to play this game if you don't want to immerse yourself in its world. While not technically impactful on the story at all we get some cameos from some other arcade heroes meeting Super Meat Boy and the Goo from World of Goo which just puts a smile on your face. Sebastian tells you a beautiful tale of woe through his bonus level's in 8-bit style throughout the 4 chapters which is heart wrenching when you finally clue on. But the only other character that could be suggested as a main is Sebastian, a man who lives in a cube and rides on a 'Dragon'. Each chapter is differently themed and comes with its own new tale of woe as to why the two are separated again.Įach cube or almost anything in this game has its own cute back story given to you in the loading screens between levels, and the stories are cute. The game consists of 4 chapters each with 9 levels and 3 bonus levels if you collect the blue, purple and green little Ilo, Milo look a likes called Safkas on each of the 9. In fact every part of it has a story behind it which shows SouthEnd's loving attention to this arcade title. The two adorably designed cuties only want to get together to munch on Maple leaf flavoured biscuits and drink apple tea but someone keeps rearranging the cubes on them and your job is to help this happen, 53 times.īelieve it or not this game actually does have a story, with other stories in it.
